Earth Valley, planned and designed by MMD for Owakudani Station on the Hakone Ropeway, received the Bronze Award at the 59th Japan Sign Design Award.
This project, Earth Valley, was conceived not as a place merely to “view” Hakone’s natural landscape, but as a museum-like space where visitors can “experience” it. Under MMD’s creative direction, KAAKA was responsible for art direction. By integrating spatial design and graphics into a unified composition, the project conveys the story of Owakudani’s unique natural environment to those who visit the site.
This project was commissioned by Odakyu Hakone Co., Ltd., and the award was officially received by KAAKA Inc. as the representative company. We are truly honored that the project has received this recognition.
